SWIM Project
Implementing 13 innovative activities across the Danube and NW Black Sea
SWIM is working on 13 activities at 7 pilot sites across the Danube River Basin and the Northwestern Black Sea coast to protect and restore vital habitats for migratory fish species. Many of these species are currently in poor conservation status, making the need for action urgent.
Our goal is to strengthen the health of these habitats and the species that depend on them by focusing on long-distance migratory fish from the Black Sea to the Iron Gates II dam and the Danube upstream sectors and tributaries.
